Peanut Butter & Carrot Pupcakes

Earlier in the week was Shep’s first birthday and as we are house bound I thought I would make him a tasty treat to enjoy!

Ok, so basically you make a normal cake mixture with a few added delicious flavours that your pup will love! I shall list the ingredients I used below:

Prep time: 15 mins

Cook time: 20 mins

  • 1/2 cup flour – I’ve seen recipes use whole wheat flour and self raising flour so use which ever you have in your cupboard
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large carrot, grated
  • 2 tablespoon peanut butter – plus a little extra for the topping
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Dash of milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 200c and line your cupcake tray with cupcake cases

2. Combine and mix the flour, egg, peanut butter, carrot, vanilla extract in a large bowl

3. Then add in your baking soda and milk until you create a smooth cake-like mixture

4. Fill your cupcake cases 2/3 full

5. Bake for 15-20mins

6. Pipe or spread on smooth peanut butter to the top of your cupcakes (optional)

TIP – before giving to your dog make sure to remove the cupcake case!
